Dr. Ekta Gupta did her MD in Microbiology from KGMC, Lucknow and her Senior Residency from AIIMS, New Delhi as well as Senior Research Associateship in Clinical Virology. She was granted gold medal for her MD and did post MD research work in dengue viruses for which “the best scientist award for outstanding contribution in clinical research by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)” was given.

She is working in ILBS since 2009 and is heading department of clinical virology at ILBS. Her major research interests are in hepatitis viruses (HBV, HCV, and HEV), transplant viruses and dengue virus. She has more than 40 scientific publications indexed in national & international journals and author of 7 chapters in books. She is the nodal officer for integrated counseling and testing center for HIV at the institute through Delhi State Aids Control Society. She is actively involved in organizing various social level screening and vaccination camps for HBV, HCV & HIV in general public. Not only she is an active member of various institutional committees but also an executive member of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologist Association and various other committees outside the institute.

She is in charge of WHO collaborating center for viral hepatitis and liver diseases at ILBS. She has been instrumental in setting up of laboratory diagnostic support program for laboratory technicians at national level on viral hepatitis under project PRAKASH.

Dr. Reshu Agarwal is currently working as Associate Professor at ILBS, New Delhi. She has been graduated from Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra and MD Microbiology from AIIMS, New Delhi. She had completed her senior residency from AIIMS and also worked as Senior Research Associate under CSIR at AIIMS.  Her major areas of interest include clinical virology, post-transplant viral infections, molecular virology.

She has been instrumental in planning and execution of viral hepatitis diagnostic support program for laboratory professionals on viral hepatitis & COVID-19 under project PRAKASH. She is also taking regular lectures for all levels of healthcare workers and has successfully trained over 10,000 healthcare workers under the projects.

Dr. Arjun is currently working as a PDCC Senior Resident in Transplant Virology at ILBS, New Delhi. He has graduated from JJM Medical College, Davangere and completed hi MD in Medical Microbiology from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore. He has done one year of Senior Residency in Maharaja Agrasen Medical College, Agroha. After successfully leading Mucor Unit in institute he joined ILBS to further his education. His interest lies in Clinical Virology, Hospital Infection Control & Systemic Bacteriology.

He is undertaking lectures under project PRAKASH for laboratory professionals across the country on viral hepatitis & COVID-19. Molecular methods in testing, good laboratory practices and clinical virology are some of the topics addressed by him during national level training program.
